This is a great way to get kids interested in computer science. Even though this book is written for kids, it is an amazing way to get kids interested in scratch coding. Any kid would love to create their own computer game. The graphics seem to be alive and pop right out of the book. I was really impressed with the layout and the content of the book and would give it to any kid or adult just starting to be interested in computer science. The author has thought of everything. This would make a great present for any kid.
This book served as a great introduction to coding. It's not just for kids, adults can use it too! As someone who knows very little about code I was able to follow along through clear instruction and pictures and begin to develop my coding skills. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to learn the basics of coding.
I bought this book for my 4th grade nephew for Christmas. He's into computer stuff but I wasn't sure if this was a good fit for him. Well, he loves it! I didn't realize when I bought it that it teaches actutal programming skills for kids. But he taught himself a bunch of stuff I wont ever understand. Anyway, I'd say if you have a kid in your life that wants to learn coding, this it it!
