I am SO happy I came across this book while looking for new Barbie books. I had no idea any book on the Steffie face-sculpt existed, and it is fantastic to now own a book full of photos of what I consider the most beautiful doll face ever, as well as very interesting facts on the specific dolls mentioned. I was ecstatic to find my absolute favorite doll -- Fashion Photo P.J. -- included, and I must admit, I'd no idea so many other prominent dolls used that very same face mold. Now, if only Mattel would make some reproductions of them!I wish the book were about ten times as thick, but that's just so I'd have the opportunity to see even more fun and wonderful pictures. I am so glad Alison Rasmussin took the time to compile this book -- it is something I never expected to see, but am so pleased to add to my collection. I really look forward to more books in the series. I highly recommend it.
Nice photos of authors collection. Sort of a scrapbook idea, which might help to identify some dolls, but not a thorough reference book.
I love this book. I adore the Steffie faces and I collect them, myself, so I thought this would be a fun book to have. I'm not disappointed, at all.
This was so fun to go thru. It also helped me look up some dolls on eBay!
This wonderful book covers every Steffie-faced doll made up to publication with lovely photos and informative text. If you love the Steffie head-mold this book is for you!
this is an ejoyable product if you like out-of-box dolls. The picutres are nice, there's a good selection of Steffie face and a good information about non-US Steffie faced dolls.I liked it very much!
This could have been an excellent book, put the poor photography let it down badly. The focus is not sharp, and too many shadows because of poor lighting. Even cheap cameras can do better than this. Otherwise, it had lots of pictures and information, pity they weren't put in some sort of order by year. Not sorry I bought it, just very disappointed, because it could have been so much better with a little more care.
This book is a treasure for all Barbie collectors. The amount of the information the author has compiled and included in this book is astounding. This is a must have for Barbie collectors.
